Elizabeth Warren over her proposed wealth tax, is cautioning voters against returning Donald Trump to the White House.\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clod2pw0700103b6i4qo8cgc8@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n      \u201cIt would be terrible for the country if Donald Trump were reelected,\u201d Cooperman told CNN in a phone interview late last week. \u201cHe\u2019s a divisive human being who belongs in jail.\u201d\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clod2pw0700113b6i4cesywwb@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n      It\u2019s rare for a Wall Street figure to make such critical comments about Trump, at least publicly.\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clod2pw0700123b6iw3rx9u01@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n      Cooperman, in the past, has donated to mostly Republicans and forcefully battled with Warren over her proposed Ultra-Millionaire Tax.\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clod2pw0700133b6i11afy9bp@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n      But the billionaire has previously said he voted for Joe Biden in 2020 \u201cvery reluctantly.\u201d\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clod2pw0700143b6it8pd55cu@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n      Cooperman told CNN he\u2019s not thrilled with the prospect of a Biden-Trump rematch in 2024, calling them both \u201cbad choices.\u201d Cooperman said he expects neither Trump nor Biden will be their party\u2019s respective nominee next fall. But Cooperman added that if it is a Biden-Trump rematch, he likely won\u2019t vote.\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clod2pw0700153b6ip73pkco3@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n      \u201cI\u2019m looking for centrists, not radical left or right,\u201d said Cooperman, who donated to Republican Chris Christie\u2019s 2024 campaign over the summer, according to federal records.\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clod2pw0700163b6ie3zhvvp4@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n      Neither the Trump nor the Biden campaigns responded to requests for comment on the Cooperman criticism.\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clod2pw0700173b6i7r3b55sz@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n      On the economic front, Cooperman expressed concern about risks posed by the violence in the Middle East.\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clod2pw0700183b6ixiesekmx@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n      The CEO of Omega Advisors said he\u2019s \u201cabsolutely\u201d worried there will be a financial impact from the conflict, adding that recent selling on Wall Street suggests the stock market is \u201ccatching up with reality now.\u201d\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clod2pw0800193b6i89rodo0k@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n      The World Bank on Monday warned that a wider war risks pushing global commodity markets, including oil, into \u201cuncharted waters.\u201d\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clod2pw08001a3b6ip1wwdtew@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n      A small disruption, such as the one during the Libyan civil war, could lift oil prices to as high as $102 a barrel, according to the World Bank analysis. A medium-level disruption would spike oil to $121 a barrel, while a severe disruption like the 1973 Arab oil embargo could cause oil to skyrocket up to $157 a barrel.\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clod2pw08001b3b6int0fp1ha@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n      Given the ongoing risks, Cooperman argued the stock market is overvalued relative to corporate profits.\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clod2pw08001c3b6i235drq96@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n      \u201cThe question is whether the market deserves to be selling at 18, 19 or 20 times earnings. The answer is no,\u201d he said. \u201cWe have a hostile government towards capital. We\u2019re fighting two wars.
